A Year of Writing Milestones

Hello everyone! I'm absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news. I've been selected as a recipient of the Tasmanian Writers and Illustrators Mentorship 2025, presented by the esteemed Australian Society of Authors! This is such an incredible opportunity, and I'm deeply grateful for this support in furthering my writing career.

Currently, I am immersed in editing my middle grade novel, The Seraph's Song. This story was inspired by my visit to the Tower of London several years ago. I was fascinated by the ravens and one, Gripp, has become a character in this story. I'm also eagerly awaiting my mentor's feedback on Quit Calling Me Stumblemore, another project very dear to my heart. It  was inspired by one of my student’s love of basketball and my love of all things Celtic.

It's a busy time but I love it!

In other wonderful news, I've had a short story accepted in a US-based children's magazine – details to follow soon! Also, my short story for adults, Breaking Free, has been published in Open House 9 by Stormcloud Publishing. It’s a free download available in many places. Google it and you’ll find it. It’s always a joy to see my stories find their way into the world.

Beyond these projects, I have two more books in the pipeline: The Lost Stories of the Wandering Isles and Tru Foxley. I’m excited to develop these stories and share them with you all in the future. Paisley is still looking for a home but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for her!

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. It means the world to me.
